Amy Berges

8/27/1975-5/18/21

Amy was the most caring, funniest, honest, smartest, and hard working woman I have ever met. I had the honor to call her my mom, and I am thankful for all of our memories every single day. She always went above and beyond for all of her loved ones, and never failed to make anyone smile. Her smile lit up the room, as she was the most comforting person I have ever met. Life was great, right until her 41st birthday, she got the terrible news that she had stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She then had to get a mastectomy, chemo and radiation. She was doing well until she got the news that her cancer had spread to her hip and her femur, and she would need to replace both bones to continue to walk. In 2020 her cancer continued to spread and tumors were appearing in her liver and her brain. She was a warrior, but as long as she tried to fight cancer was always winning. She then underwent gamma knife radiation in order to fight the cancer even more, unfortunately none of it worked. She was put on hospice and passed on May 18, 2021. My goal as her daughter is to go above and beyond for her and other patients as well. My friends and I are dedicated to making this organization successful and be able to fundraise money, find more resources, and help other people. Cancer is a terrible fight, and no one should go through it alone.
